WATER & NIGHT SKY

A pause between the pool and the stars.

The proposed spa and leisure-pool setting is imagined as a calm center of the retreat. An expanded indoor thermal suite and outdoor spa garden would bring saunas, steam rooms, cold plunges and hot tubs into a setting of shaded rest terraces and evening sky.

THERMAL LANDSCAPE · PROPOSED

A quieter rhythm, from suite to garden.

An expanded spa vision for the proposed 18+ retreat: quiet spaces indoors and out, connected by warmth, water, fresh air and places to rest.

OUTDOOR GARDEN

Open-air moments, held by the landscape.

Natural-stone terraces and generous paths are envisioned to connect an outdoor sauna, cold plunge, and hot tub for outdoor soaking with an enclosed garden steam pavilion: a humid, sheltered counterpoint to the sauna's dry heat.

Shaded rest areas and loungers gather beneath pergolas, while discreet privacy planting and low walls lend a sense of retreat. Flowering sages and soft bunchgrasses, shade trees, and sculptural plants are proposed with planting set back from wet edges and walkways; final selections will be suited to the Bisbee climate. Showers, cooling-off and rest areas, accessible routes, and responsible water and system planning are considered as part of the concept.

INDOOR SUITE

An indoor sanctuary, at your own pace.

The indoor suite gathers a dry-heat sauna, a separate humid steam room, an indoor cold plunge distinct from the swimming pool, and a hot tub intended for unhurried indoor soaking. Showers and quiet cooling-off and rest areas allow the rooms to unfold at an individual pace.

Accessibility and discreet circulation are integral to the early thinking, alongside responsible water use and system planning. The intent is an understated indoor complement to the garden, rather than a departure from the retreat's established spa character.

AMENITY KEY

Four distinct ways to pause.

01

Saunas

Indoor and outdoor saunas are conceived for dry heat, with the garden setting opening the experience to air and landscape.

02

Steam rooms

An indoor steam room and enclosed garden steam pavilion offer humid, enclosed spaces, distinct from the sauna's dry heat.

03

Cold plunges

Indoor and outdoor cold plunges are compact immersion elements, separate in use and character from the swimming pool.

04

Hot tubs

Indoor and outdoor hot tubs are planned for quiet soaking, from the contained suite to the sheltered garden terraces.

Supplementary concepts, not final layouts. Amenity quantities, access, planting and water systems remain in design development.

MOVE IN YOUR WAY

Energy, considered lightly.

Movement spaces and a lap pool would offer different ways to begin the day, alongside the spa’s dedicated cold-plunge and warm-soaking spaces. Final equipment, amenity counts and operating details remain in development.

ATTENTION, NOT RESTRICTION

A more present kind of connection.

Birding, meditation and time outside are part of a digitally mindful philosophy. The vision is not about blocking cell service or taking away phones; it is about creating more reasons to look up, listen and be here.

AT A GLANCE

Wellness, in planning.

Is the spa open now?

No. The spa, pools and observatory are proposed components of Sage vision and are not currently available.

What thermal-spa amenities are planned?

The expanded program includes indoor and outdoor saunas, steam rooms, cold plunges and hot tubs. Indoor wet rooms and enclosed garden pavilions would complement outdoor plunge and soaking areas, shaded rest terraces and planted privacy. Final quantities, layouts and operating details are still being developed.

Will phones be prohibited?

No phone-blocking policy is part of this vision. The proposed experience simply makes more room for time in the landscape.

Who is Sage intended for?

The operating vision is for guests ages 18 and over, with fewer than 60 concurrent guests envisioned.
